About The Center for Black Educator Development

The Center for Black Educator Development is thrilled to be hosting the 8th annual Black Men in Education Convening this fall. Participants will be welcomed in a communal, empathetic space to discuss the deeply emotional, intellectual, and trajectory-altering work revolutionary Black men educators do on a daily basis. Our agenda of distinguished speakers, panel discussions, and workshops will inform, inspire, and activate Black men in education and others in the education ecosystem to continue changing the outcomes for both students and educators.

By participating in Center for Black Educator Development’s Black Men Educator Convening, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur.

By attending the event, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, webcasts, promotional purposes, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by Center for Black Educator Development and its affiliates and representatives. Images, photos, and/or videos may be used to promote similar Center for Black Educator Development events in the future, highlight the event, and exhibit the capabilities of Center for Black Educator Development. You release Center for Black Educator Development, its employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, photographers, computer images, video and/or sound recordings.

By attending the event, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment of royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, webcasting, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by Center for Black Educator Development or the person or entity designated to do so by Center for Black Educator Development.

Cancellation Policy

1. Cancellations received prior to August 31, 2024, CBED will refund 100% of your registration fees.
2. Cancellations received prior to October 7, 2024, CBED will refund 50% of your registration fees.
3. ALL cancellations on or after October 8, 2024 will not receive a refund.

In the event the Black Men Educators Convening is canceled, Center for Black Educator Development will issue a full refund of registration fees.
